Foo Fighters

An iconic American rock band formed by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1994, named after WWII terminology for UFOs to disguise the fact he recorded the first album solo. Evolving from Grohl's one-man project into a full band featuring members like Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, and Chris Shiflett, they became known for energetic post-grunge/alternative rock, hitting fame with hits like "Everlong," and are now Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
