Arctic Monkeys

A hugely influential English rock band from Sheffield, known for their witty, observational lyrics and musical evolution from fast garage rock to more complex, lounge-influenced styles, rising to fame via internet buzz and becoming pioneers of online band promotion. Led by Alex Turner (vocals/guitar), Matt Helders (drums), Jamie Cook (guitar), and Nick O'Malley (bass), they're praised for literate song writing and shifting sounds, making them bigger than the early 2000s garage rock revival they emerged from.
